Triton Sonic Wind Profiler

The Triton Sonic Wind Profiler is an advanced SoDAR that provides reliable and accurate wind data from 30 up to 200 meters of height.

Suitable for installation at remote sistes and for operating under a wide range of weather conditions.

No on site staff is required.

Wind speed, direction and turbulence data are sent via satellite. They look like standard anemometric data, then are of immediate interpretation and can be viewed from any office.

The system has internal controls to compensate for uneven ground, and a built-in GPS and compass identify the time and location of data as it’s captured.

Particular attention has been dedicated to acoustic to make TRITON the less noisy SoDAR product on the market.

More portable and less obtrusive. At six feet tall with a six foot by four foot base, TRITON will fit in the bed of a full-sized pickup truck, or can be towed in a trailer

It can be installed and start operating in about 2-3 hours, a time which is much lower than what is needed for a standard meteorological tower.

TRITON is made of rugged plastic materials, components of stainless stell and soundproof materials that can operate even when wet.

TRITON has withstood rain, ice, and harsh winter conditions.

Finally, TRITON offers a very low power consumption, 7 Watt, supplied by two solar panels directly on the structure of the wind profiler.
