The 3D THIES Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 3D ultrasonic anemometer that serves to measure wind direction and speed from all spatial directions.
It is equipped with a heating system for winter operations even in extreme climatic conditions, and does not require any re-calibration or maintenance.
All calculations are carried out by a high-capacity digital-signal-processor (DSP) within the propagation time of the ultrasonic signals with an accuracy basis of 32 bit.
The instrument offers comprehensive statistical functions such as gliding average, standard deviation, co-variance, etc. These functions can be selected via digital interface.
The gliding averaging can be set optionally in vectorial or scalar form, identically or differently for each parameter.
