The SecondWind's NOMAD 2 data logger has advanced functionalities, is easy to install and reduces system costs.

Thanks to its low power consumption, to the real-time operating system and to the CompactFlash card, NOMAD 2 can collect and store all necessary data for wind assessment.

If equipped with GSM kit it will be possible:

• to connect at any time to the data logger
• to receive real-time e-mails.

The Nomad Desktop SW makes it available to any remote control station all the features of the ADMS system (Advance Distributed Monitoring System) for windfarms, as powerful analytical tool.

Easy-to-use

NOMAD 2's vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) option gives a clear bright readout in temperatures down to -40°C and in full sunshine.

Easy to install, it can be reprogrammed in few seconds by uploading the new configuration directly from the CompactFlash card or by using a laptop.

Smart power management

NOMAD 2 can operate for six months with only two standard 9V alkaline batteries. For longer operations, 12V internal batteries can be added. For continuous operation, a solar panel can be installed.

Inputs

It is possible to connect up to:

• 12 anemometers
• 8 inputs for analog sensors (such as windvanes, thermistors, and transducers measuring air pressure, electric power, sound level, or anything else that concerns you at your wind site)

Data collection anytime anywhere

Data can be remotely collected via GSM, CDMA, satellite o cable: NOMAD 2 will reply to the call with an e-mail.

The CompactFlash Card can store data and then have them downloaded on any PC with a normal Card reader.

Weatherproof

The NOMAD 2 data logger is designed to withstand the harshest of climates in its lockable steel shelter box.

The wide-temperature display, batteries, and data cards allow the data logger to operate fully from -40° to 185°F (-40° to 85°C).

SW Nomad Desktop

You can collect real-time values, refine study parameters remotely and keep all your data organized and labeled with Nomad Desktop™ software, available at no additional charge to NOMAD 2 wind data logger customers.

The software provides complete flexibility to:

  • Download data directly to your computer
  • Configure Nomad 2 to send regular e-mails with data attached
  • Create graphs and analytical data at the click of a button
