Second Wind's SoDAR “TRITON” 

• Sonic profiler for accurate and reliable wind measurement from 30 meters to 200 meters of height.
• Suitable for installation in remote sites and for operation under a wide variety of meteo conditions.
• No technical on-site staff needed.
• Data relating to wind speed, direction and turbulence are sent by satellite. They look as conventional anemometric data and can then be interpreted and visualised immediately from any office location.
• An internal control system makes directly on the installation site the corrections needed to compensate field irregularities and errors of orientation.
• An internal GPS identifies time and location of registered data.
• Sound emissions have been specifically studied to make TRITON the lowest noisy sodar product in the market.

Thanks to its limited size, TRITON can be easily trucked with a pick-up on the installation site.
TRITON can be deployed and transmitting data within a few hours, considerably reducing standard times normally expected for a meteorological tower.

With lightweight low-density polyethylene enclosure, stainless steel components and soundproof materials operating even when wet, TRITON possesses internal temperature sensors and a heater allowing it to operate even under icy conditions.

One of its key advantages is represented by low power consumption (7 Watt) due to two solar panels installed directly on the TRITON's structure.
